Hey all!
We're Rob and Sarah. We believe Making things cures the soul. It also makes a HUGE mess, and who doesn't love that? Every week we meet in the Maker Break workshop to build something new while keeping all 20 of their fingers intact. We spend all week watching Maker videos from around the world for inspiration, and every Friday we share our project with you!
Our passion is fueled not by the projects we build, but by the MAKER COMMUNITY that never fails to support each other. That's why every 2 weeks we interview a new friend in "Meet a Maker". If you're an online Maker and would like to be interviewed, reach out!
We watch a TON of Maker Videos each week, and Sarah shares her favorites in Sarah's Top 5 DIY! You'll find a new episode here every two weeks.
That Maker Break Channel is produced by the creative tool team at Belts and Boxes.

Putting together our Herb Garden Box!
Wow! Never knew that. Very cool
Important fact to know when you’re trimming near a sliding glass door.
This is De Way. FOLLOW DE WAY
Well, I was using it wrong, thanks for showing me.
Damn...I was doing it wrong. Thanks.
Who goes back and forth lol
for the saw... it should have depth indicators
What if I have no mulch and do not care where the clippings land?
Or, and hear me out. In a heat index of 104, I just got home from working outside all day, I want it done. Back and forth works fine. You actually proved your own point wrong, when going back and forth, no clippings were thrown into your mulch. Hm..
Since I don't have a goat to do trimming, your video has a great tip!!
Anyone know why some Hart tools will stop workin in the middle of using it n not work again until I pop the battery out n back in? I'm yet to buy a new battery n see if that's the issue. But I have 2 different batteries now n they both do it with my drill and Sawzall
That’s was painful
I swing the weed eater in both directions then let the blower sort it all out 😂😂😂
W for beginners show this to them instead of screaming at them 💀
I hold my string trimmer a bunch of ways im surgical with those things..yours sounds funny.
I walked backwards into an angry oversized pit bull onetime while weedeating. Should've sued shindaiwa for forcing me to walk backwards.
Who cares lol
Thanks for the education I bought two and haven't used them yet I've never used one before
Is LucasFilms not doing well? What's George doing making UA-cam videos on how to use a string trimmer?
Anyone know what happened to them? It's been a year.
That's an edger...and hedge trimmer...and a mulcher... and a blower...and a tiller...and a boat propeller.
Awsome house from sure he will enjoy it!
You always want the string trimmer to throw the clipping AWAY from you . Otherwise. Bits and pieces of dangerous stuff would come to you . Poison Ivy , stick , stones , thorn bushes . Getting thing in your face or eyes would end your day badly . You definitely do not want the clipping come back at you !
Get a real weedwacker
Thanks for teaching me
I strimmed over a frog many years ago. I still feel bad about it now. I didn’t see it in the grass until it went everywhere.
Holy crap that is the largest string trimmer. I’ve heard that’s electric electric ego is super super quiet.
Thank you!
Any good concrete guy knows this from running a concrete finishing machine it finishes to the left🎉🎉🎉
To be honest I can trim edge and cut the yard better then my husband women rocks who do yard work😅
But sometimes Idgaf where the grass is slinging lol especially in the thick stuff
Not taking any lawn care advice from Ben Affleck lol
YOU'RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME!!!
So I have been using mine right
Will take u all day like this lol. I guess I see the point with grass being in your mulch but that isn't a concern for me
Good to know
I'm not taking lessons from a guy using a hart product
it still flings it into the mulch regardless which way you move it. Just one way minimizes it vs the other.
Bro I mow in 100 degree weather in Texas I am not trying to learn more about weed eaters😂. That’s interesting though
Or string trimmer my bad
Clippers ARE mulch.
It’s electric so it’s just wrong 😮
What happens when you get all the way to the left? Do you just continue in circles around the yard?
Hold on, but grass clippings are a good mulch.
Tell that to 90% of landscapers that feel the solution is removing the guard instead of using the spin to advantage.. have customer looking at a new clutch and driveshaft as a result.. one day lol
That hart sounds like crap
Excellent simply accident nothing else to say
Fake carbon fiber and also no stop
Where have people got the term ‘string trimmer’ from? It’s just a strimmer
OMG, thank you so much for this tip
Oh no trimmings on the mulch!!!? What a tragedy
